Life Pivots
In one surreal week, I went from:
✨a full-time job in New York
✨packing to visit shamans in Sacred Valley, Peru
✨five days later and a passport kerfuffle at JFK 〰️ booked a new flight.
✨ waking up on Maui 48 hours later; a place I’d never thought once of visiting before purchasing my flight to live there for a month. I always judged it as too vacation-y and not real enough; that was the *story* and it came from a deeply rooted place within that convinced me I didn’t deserve complete happiness. Probably from growing up in a small apartment in nyc and being traumatized by 9/11 as a kid, believing life inherently comes with that level of stress. But this isn’t about New York. Or me. It’s that our happiness is fully what we allow, and our aversions are actually our greatest guides. * oh, and f*ck yes, we all deserve happiness. What joy are you holding yourself from?
